Description Shift/Hours: Monday - Friday; 7:30 am - 4:00 pm Pay Range: $21.77 - $25.48 / hour About Us: Permian Plastics is a stable, climate-controlled, highly automated injection molding facility. As a Set-Up Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring our machines, molds, and auxiliary equipment run efficiently and reliably. What You Will Do: Perform mold installation and removal following established setup procedures. Ensure the production area is ready and organized before each setup. Collect, return, and maintain setup tools, clamps, and hardware; keep carts organized. Install and prepare auxiliary equipment (robots, dryers, temperature controllers, sonic welders, etc.). Verify machine readiness and safety (oil, water, hydraulics, clamp tonnage, safety switches). Troubleshoot and adjust for common process issues (short shots, flashing, warpage). Read and interpret setup sheets, blueprints, and process documents. Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to confirm part quality. Complete setup documentation and production records accurately. Ensure molds are properly stored, numbered, and organized. Report issues immediately to the Supervisor or Maintenance. Support Maintenance, Supervisors, and step in for Material Handlers as needed. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Why Permian? Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)? Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills? A track record of reliable attendance and consistency on the job? Responsibilities
