JOB REQUIREMENTS

BRC Rubber & Plastics is seeking to hire a Plastics Manager to join our Production team. This is a full-time salary position that will direct a team of production supervisors and staff on all shifts. The Plastics Manager is responsible for Production, Scheduling, Quality, Housekeeping and efficient utilization of the equipment of the Plastics Department.
Shift: 1st Shift

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education – Bachelor’s, Associate degree, or equivalent hands-on experience in Operations Management, Engineering, Business Management or related field is preferred
  • Hybrid Candidate – Willing to roll up sleeves and be on the floor as well as office management
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Must be a team player with strong and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be thorough and detail oriented as well as possess conflict resolution skills
  • Must have a positive attitude
  • Comply with health and safety practices, policies and regulations

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 years previous experience as a Production Manager, Production Scheduler, or Tooling/Process Engineer in a plastic molding facility preferred
  • 2+ years of plastics processing experience
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $44,384.93 - $53,452.81 per year

Responsibilities
  • Daily scheduling of manufacturing materials, equipment and machine capacity
  • Supervise and lead up to 30 employees
  • Establish employee involvement by developing employees through training
  • Lead and direct or delegate authority by making well informed decisions
  • Continuous improvement and scrap analysis to include reduction
  • Practice proper PPE compliance and maintain a safe working record and environment
  • Continuously check and observe various aspects of production such as downtime, cycle times, productivity, quality charting and housekeeping
  • Troubleshoot equipment/process problems
  • Plans, develops, and implements organization policies and goals to insure alignment with facility and corporate goals, objective and initiatives
  • Schedule all raw materials through purchasing department
  • Consult with Plant Manager, Production Scheduler and QA’s for overall guidance, unusual problems and special instructions
  • Reports to Plant Manager
