JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Ward Nurse to join our dynamic team at Avoca Clinic. The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing cosmetic surgery procedures, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being throughout their stay.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification with a valid NMBI registration.
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-registration experience, preferably in a surgical or ward setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • A compassionate and patient-focused approach to nursing.

  • Deliver comprehensive pre- and post-operative care to patients in the ward.
  • Monitor and assess patients’ conditions, promptly addressing any concerns.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the medical team.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to patients throughout their recovery process.
  • Ensure all nursing documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthetists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Maintain a safe and hygienic environment in accordance with clinical standards and infection control guidelines.
