Job Title: Supervisor/Setter (Weekend Shift)
Shift: 05:45 to 18:00 (Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
Location: Yaxley, Cambridgeshire
Hourly Rate: £19.24 per hour, plus £100 weekly shift allowance.

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled plastics setter with leadership experience to oversee the weekend production operations within our Plastics department, ensuring machinery is set up correctly, production targets are met, and quality standards are maintained. This role combines hands-on machine setup and troubleshooting with leadership duties, ensuring a smooth and efficient manufacturing process.

As the Supervisor/Setter, you will:

  • Set up, adjust, and maintain plastics manufacturing machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Supervise the weekend production team, ensuring targets and quality standards are met.
  • Troubleshoot machine issues and oversee maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Train and support operators on machinery setup and production processes.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct quality checks to maintain production excellence.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience within an injection moulding manufacturing environment as well as setting experience.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience within a factory setting
  • Strong technical knowledge of machine set up and troubleshooting
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Proactive approach to improving processes and production efficiency
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
