We have an opportunity for an Afternoon Shift Plastics Technician to join our Visy team based in Ingleburn, Sydney. This is a permanent full-time position working, Monday to Friday on our Afternoon shift (2pm to 10pm).
Reporting to the Production Manager you will be responsible for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of extrusion blow moulding machines to ensure the production of high-quality plastic products to meet our customers’ requirements.

Further to this your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducts all work in compliance with Company & Statutory Environmental requirements.
  • Contribute to safety awareness so that no one is ever hurt in your work area.
  • Ensures housekeeping of the work area is to plant standards at all times.
  • Ensures all incidents are reported within 24 hours using proper procedure.
  • Identifies & fixes all OHS & E hazards in the work area – where fixes are not possible or are incomplete, ensures hazards are reported using proper procedure.
  • Adherence to all Quality systems and specifications.
  • Developing effective relationships with other team members in your own and other areas of the plant.
  • Assisting team in making decisions to resolve quality issues with minimum impact to the business.
  • Actively participate in the GMP & HACCP programs as introduced to the plant.
  • Complete mould changes in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure machines are prepped and ready for planned operations
  • Compliance with the plant preventative maintenance program.
