Angel, OR 97362 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $18.00 - $19.00 Hourly Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: Day Summary This position is responsible for supporting plate shop and laser operations by moving and staging parts, deburring laser-cut materials, loading and unloading the laser table, and assisting with press brake layout. The role ensures a clean, organized work environment in the plate shop and back lot, completes weekly sheet counts for the laser department, and provides support to the crating department during peak shipping periods. This position also requires cross-training on the tubing bender, press brake, and laser equipment to serve as operational backup for the day shift and maintain efficient production flow. Job Duties and Responsibilities Retrieve, stage, and transport parts from the laser and plate shop to the next production area. Deburr laser-cut parts to meet quality and production standards. Load and unload materials on the laser table safely and efficiently. Assist with part layout and setup for press brake operations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the plate shop work area. Perform weekly sheet inventory counts for the laser department. Keep the back lot clean, organized, and free of obstructions. Provide support to the crating department during high-volume shipment periods. Train on and assist with tubing bender operations as needed. Cross-train on press brake operations to serve as backup for the day shift. Cross-train on laser operations to serve as backup for the day shift. Perform other duties as assigned. Attention-to-detail to ensure part quality and accurate deburring. Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and inventory tracking. Ability to read and follow work instructions, layouts, and shop drawings. Strong organizational skills and ability to keep work areas clean and orderly. Willingness to cross-train and learn multiple machines and job functions. Physical ability to stand, lift, and move materials in a manufacturing environment. Experience 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial shop environment preferred.
