Description

Role: Platform Architect (AWS &CLOUD) Location: Singapore We are partnering with a leading telecom client to hire a Platform Architect. The right candidate defines and governs the end-to-end architecture, covering standardized infrastructure, CI/CD, cloud foundations, observability, security, and developer experience for all IS applications. The role drives cloud modernization to AWS, enforces compliance-by-design (IMDA, PDPA, CSA, MAS-TRM, ISO27001), and ensures the platform is scalable, secure, cost-efficient, and future-ready (Backstage, AI/ML observability, self-service workflows). Responsibilities Own and govern the Road Architecture Blueprint (infra, IaC, CI/CD, observability, security, DevEx) Define and enforce technology standards, golden paths, and approved toolsets Design and lead AWS cloud mode Ensure alignment with regulatory & security frameworks (IMDA, PDPA, CSA, MAS-TRM, ISO27001) Drive microservices, containerization, API gateways, and cloud-native patterns Lead the Spotify Backstage developer portal roadmap and plugin ecosystem Provide architectural guidance to Shared Services, SRE, Cloud, Security, and Application teams Document architecture principles, guardrails, RFCs, and paved-road workflows 10–15 years in enterprise architecture, platform engineering, cloud architecture, or DevOps in large-scale tech or telco environments. Experience designing platforms supporting >50 microservices or multi-team engineering organizations. Strong expertise in AWS (EKS, RDS, ElastiCache, CloudWatch, IAM, VPC). Strong understanding of CI/CD, IaC (Terraform), CaC (Configuration as Code), GitOps, container orchestration, cloud networking. Experience with internal developer platforms (Backstage, Port, OpsLevel, or similar). Strong security architecture understanding (IAM, secrets, compliance, audit, least privilege). Certifications preferred: AWS Solutions Architect Professional, CKA/CKAD, TOGAF (optional).

Responsibilities

The Platform Architect will own and govern the Road Architecture Blueprint, ensuring compliance with regulatory and security frameworks. They will also provide architectural guidance to various teams and document architecture principles and workflows.
