This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Platform Engineer I in the United States. We are seeking a Platform Engineer I to work on cloud platform solutions and enterprise security technologies in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. This role focuses on configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting security tools and Microsoft cloud solutions to ensure system integrity and operational efficiency. You will collaborate with internal teams and clients to implement secure configurations, optimize performance, and resolve technical issues. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of IT security tools, network fundamentals, and cloud infrastructure, coupled with excellent problem-solving and communication skills. This is an opportunity to gain broad experience across enterprise security systems while contributing to critical business operations and client success. Accountabilities: Configure, manage, and troubleshoot enterprise-class security tools, including antivirus software, EDR, and Microsoft Defender suites. Implement and support Microsoft security solutions such as Defender for Endpoint, Office 365, Identity, Cloud Apps, Azure Sentinel, and Entra ID. Apply knowledge of core network protocols (DNS, DHCP, TCP/UDP, SSL, SSH, FTP, IPSec) to secure and optimize IT environments. Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure proper integration and setup of security tools within cloud and network infrastructures. Provide recommendations to improve security tool performance and effectiveness. Assist clients in resolving service issues and advise on security best practices. Maintain ownership of assigned tasks while contributing to business objectives and team success. Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in distributed teams. Experience with Mac OS, Windows, and Unix/Linux systems. Familiarity with identity and access management, SIEM, malware detection, HIDS/NIDS, network monitoring, case management systems, email/web security, and data loss prevention tools. Ability to handle high-pressure situations professionally and communicate complex technical topics clearly. 1–4 years of experience in security tool administration or systems administration is preferred. Relevant certifications such as Security+, CEH, Microsoft 365 Security Administrator, Azure Security Engineer Associate, or Azure Administrator are a plus. Experience with Microsoft Cloud IT infrastructure tools and basic knowledge of programming/scripting languages and database queries is preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related IT field preferred; candidates with demonstrated experience will also be considered.
