Description

Our client is the central technology organization of a long-established German corporate group. The company develops and operates business-critical digital solutions and processes large volumes of business-related data for numerous regional units.

As part of the ongoing modernization of our IT landscape, we are seeking an OpenShift Platform Engineer (m/f/d) . In this role, you will not only ensure the reliable operation of a container-based infrastructure but also shape its technical development. You will create a stable environment for development teams and contribute to a platform that can be scaled, automated, and operated efficiently in the long term.

Your tasks

They manage a mission-critical container platform based on Kubernetes and OpenShift.
They are further developing the existing on-premise platform technically and conceptually.
They take over the administration of the underlying Linux infrastructure and work in particular with technologies from the Red Hat environment.
They standardize recurring processes and automate deployment, configuration, and operation.
They coordinate version changes, security updates, and other measures within the platform lifecycle.
They monitor the availability, utilization, and performance of the environment and derive technical improvements from this.
They systematically investigate malfunctions, eliminate their causes, and ensure sustainable solutions.
Together with software development and other IT teams, you will optimize deployment processes, CI/CD structures and technical guidelines.
