Description

DESCRIPTION As a Platform Engineer – Networking at Nexar, you will design, build, and optimize the network backbone that powers our global vision AI ecosystem. You’ll architect secure, scalable, and cost-efficient network infrastructure across multiple cloud providers, ensuring our systems can reliably handle petabytes of data. Working closely with firmware, cloud, frontend, and AI teams, you’ll help shape our Networking 2.0 initiative and strengthen the foundations of Nexar’s connected-driving platform. RESPONSIBILITIES Design and implement scalable network architecture across cloud providers and accounts. Optimize data transfer, routing, and network costs at massive scale. Build secure developer access patterns (VPNs, IAM, segmentation). Implement strong resource isolation across environments. Maintain centralized network monitoring and observability systems. Automate network deployments and CI/CD for infrastructure. Work with engineering teams to ensure performance, reliability, and security. Define network resources using infrastructure-as-code (Terraform). REQUIREMENTS Technical skills & qualifications BSc in CS/Engineering or equivalent. 3+ years in Platform/DevOps/Infrastructure/Network Engineering. Strong hands-on AWS networking experience (VPCs, routing, SGs). GCP a plus. Experience with VPNs, CDNs, and large-scale network protocols. Familiarity with service mesh (Istio a plus). Kubernetes/Docker and container networking skills. Strong Terraform skills (Terragrunt a plus). CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions preferred). Monitoring tools experience (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog). Scripting (Python, Bash, Go) and strong Linux background. People skills & traits Proactive, ownership-driven, and solution-oriented. Excellent problem-solving and debugging abilities. Strong communicator across technical and non-technical teams. Curious, fast learner, and passionate about scalable systems.
