Join us as our new Platform Engineer for our R&D Data Science Platform The Platform Engineer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing our R&D data infrastructure. The engineer will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure that data is accessible, reliable, and ready for analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software and data engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include: Developing and maintaining the features within our Data Science Platform Improving and scaling the platform features to enable efficient scientific data workflows Automating platform deployment and monitoring using tools like Ansible and Grafana Welcome to Scientific Data Strategy and Systems Our team provides the core platform and infrastructure for data storage, analysis, and data science activities in Research and Development (R&D). You will join a strong group of internal developers and engineers. We support core research processes and are responsible for many specialized IT systems. Your daily work will be in close collaboration with our internal teams and users. You will work in a diverse team of highly skilled people with competences across IT and biology. In this role you’ll make an impact by Enabling cutting-edge science by providing reliable data infrastructure Ensuring operational stability of our platform - across databases, task execution, application hosting, workflow automation and data governance. Helping build scalable infrastructure for a global scientific audience Potentially relevant experience A degree in IT, computer science or equivalent DevOps experience Hands on experience with development and operations of software systems in a Linux environment Strong experience with Python and SQL Comfortable with infrastructure orchestration frameworks (e.g Ansible) Experience with life-cycle management and governance in platform operations Hands-on experience with containerization and CI/CD pipelines Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams Fluency in spoken and written English Experience in biotech research is a plus The person we are looking for has an open mindset to systems and services and can comprehend complex problems, driving strong solutions for the benefit of R&D in Novonesis globally. Responsibilities
