OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer with expertise in infrastructure automation, technical leadership, and cloud engineering (ideally on AWS). This position will offer technical leadership to ensure our digital solutions are established on a strong cloud foundation, providing technical supervision to new platform engineers, and contributing to the growth and development of our digital platform. This is a rare opportunity to join a new and growing team, be instrumental in building a greenfield platform from the ground up, and work on innovative digital solutions. Growth opportunities include leading the Platform Engineering capability or focusing on key programs of work. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Expertise in infrastructure engineering, technical leadership, systems thinking, cloud engineering (AWS).

• Strong experience in system reliability engineering, continuous integration, and software engineering (Ideally with Python).
• Experience with edge/IoT systems, data and IoT data, knowledge graphs, and familiarity deep learning/generative AI is highly desirable.
• Strong ability to lead and supervise technical teams in a start up or new team within a larger corporate environment.
• Strong Experience implementing modern cloud and edge platforms on AWS, with a focus on developer experience and delivery of self-service capabilities.
• Willingness to explore and learn new technologies and approaches.
• Ideally 3 years experience in business or industrial settings

• Lead technical and delivery work, focusing on infrastructure automation, continuous integration, and cloud engineering on AWS.
• Provide technical supervision for new platform engineers, which is seen as a key capability in the fast-growing digital team
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver self-service capabilities and enhance the developer experience.
• Make autonomous decisions and demonstrate leadership under uncertainty.
