Join SquaredUp! We’re seeking an exceptional Platform Engineer to join our dynamic Cloud Engineering team. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your extensive knowledge of AWS services to monitor, maintain, and enhance the infrastructure of our cutting-edge SaaS application. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who is happy working independently as well as working with multiple teams both inside Engineering and without. This role will offer a wide range of challenges from monitoring, incident investigation and creating automation solutions. You will work closely with our DevOps engineer and share responsibilities for our CI/CD pipelines and wider monitoring of environments and automations that enable us to develop top-level code.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and optimize cross-platform cloud environments in AWS and Azure.
- Architect and implement robust, scalable, and secure AWS cloud environments.
- Drive automation: Identify and automate repetitive tasks using scripting and automation tools to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and free up engineering resources for strategic initiatives.
- Data-driven insights: Support Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams in analysing user data to inform strategic decisions.
- Cloud-native solutions: Collaborate closely with development teams to implement and deploy cloud-native solutions.
- Incident response & resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues with speed and precision.
- Security & Compliance: Champion security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001).
- Continuous learning: Stay abreast of the latest cloud technologies, best practices, and security trends. Share knowledge and insights with the wider engineering department.
