Responsibilities

MISSION BEHIND THE ROLE

  • In this role, you will build, scale, and maintain our internal tooling and cloud-based infrastructure on AWS, enhancing the efficiency and ease of feature development for other teams. You’ll collaborate with information security and compliance teams to ensure best practices in security, data protection, and system reliability. As part of a dynamic and growing team, you’ll be at the forefront of innovation in Cloud, SRE, DevOps, and Platform Engineering, contributing to Enfuce’s mission of delivering scalable and secure payment solutions.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

  • Continuously improving system security measures, tools, and processes through a metrics and data driven approach.
  • Leading or participating in vulnerability and penetration testing activities and designing fixes for any issues found.
  • Collaborating with diverse teams to troubleshoot issues, drive process improvements, and effect change.
  • Ensuring that best practices in observability, reliability are followed as wells as designing and implementing scalable solutions so that other teams can adopt these practices with minimal effort.
  • Managing deployments and configurations of various AWS services with CDK or cloudformation, such as S3, Lambda, Aurora, Fargate, ECS, WAF, ELB, DynamoDB etc.
  • Coaching others doing a similar role and providing feedback on code reviews.
  • Analysing network designs to ensure security best practices are applied.
  • Documenting system designs, usage instructions, processes and procedures.
  • Helping teammates by sharing knowledge, mentoring, and participating in our tech officer/on-call rotations.
  • Lead discussions on appropriate SLO/SLAs for various services.
  • Reviewing incidents and other service disruption patterns to identify improvements needed in our systems and in how we operate and design software.
  • Participating in roadmap, strategy, and planning activities.
