Description
SimplifyNext is one of ASEAN’s most innovative Automation and AI consultancies, empowering organisations to scale automation, integrate Generative and Agentic AI, and deliver next-generation digital platforms. Our team blends strategy, technology, and design to transform how businesses work. Our portfolio spans ASEAN and global clients across multiple industries, where we’ve successfully driven large-scale automation programmes, next-gen application modernisation, and enterprise AI initiatives. Recognized as one of Singapore’s 100 Fastest Growing Companies 2024 (Straits Times & Statista) and High-Growth Companies Asia-Pacific 2024 (Financial Times & Statista), we are proud of our track record in building transformation journeys that last. We partner with leading platforms and ecosystems including ServiceNow, UiPath, OutSystems, Salesforce, Microsoft, AWS, and more — and continue to invest in Centres of Excellence, enablement programs, and Citizen Developer initiatives to accelerate innovation and deliver high-impact digital experiences. Our Platform Engineering practice delivers mission-critical infrastructure platforms for public sector and large enterprise clients. You will work closely with senior architects and consulting leaders who focus on reliability, scalability, and operational governance, not just routine system support. In parallel, SimplifyNext runs a strong AI and automation practice, enabling our platform teams to support modern, containerised, and enterprise-scale workloads. If you are looking to go beyond basic system administration and work on platforms that operate in secure and regulated environments, this is your opportunity. What You’ll Do You will support and operate enterprise-grade infrastructure platforms hosted within a private on-premise data centre environment, taking strong ownership of platform stability and day-to-day operations. This role involves administering and maintaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems, managing Kubernetes clusters, and ensuring the reliability and performance of the underlying infrastructure stack. In this role, you will perform system patching, troubleshoot operating system and container-level issues, and automate operational processes using Bash scripting. You will administer Kubernetes environments including cluster monitoring, node and workload management, storage integration, and supporting platform upgrades to maintain high availability. You will contribute to change implementation and configuration management activities, following structured incident and change management processes. You will collaborate closely with infrastructure, network, and database teams to diagnose issues across compute, storage, and networking layers, ensuring operational consistency and uptime. Where applicable, you may also support enterprise application platforms running on the infrastructure stack, contributing to platform-level troubleshooting and environment configuration in collaboration with senior engineers and architects. Throughout your work, you will uphold operational standards, maintain proper documentation, and continuously improve platform stability and efficiency. What We’re Looking For We are looking for engineers with a strong ownership mindset who take responsibility for platform reliability and operational quality. You should be comfortable working at the infrastructure and container platform layer, thinking beyond individual servers and understanding how systems interact across environments. This role requires solid troubleshooting capability, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under the guidance of senior architects. You should be comfortable balancing responsiveness with process discipline in structured environments. Clear communication and the ability to collaborate effectively with architects, infrastructure teams, and stakeholders are essential. Required Experience & Skills 3 to 5 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, platform operations, or system administration roles. Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration, including patching, performance monitoring, log analysis, and troubleshooting. Practical experience administering Kubernetes environments, including deployment, monitoring, node management, workload troubleshooting, and storage integration. Experience with shell scripting using Bash to automate routine operational tasks. Solid understanding of infrastructure networking fundamentals such as DNS, firewall rules, routing concepts, and load balancing. Understanding of enterprise storage concepts including persistent volumes and mounts. Experience working within structured incident and change management processes in production environments. Experience supporting Microsoft SQL Server, including database health checks, login and permission management, and basic performance monitoring. Experience working in on-premise or private data centre environments. Exposure to enterprise application platforms such as UiPath or similar large-scale systems is preferred. Singapore Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain high-level security clearance. Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS is a plus. Why Join Us Competitive salary and performance bonus. Certification sponsorship with structured training and mentorship. Work on secure, enterprise-grade infrastructure platforms, not routine support environments. Strong engineering-led culture with senior architects and delivery leaders. Exposure to Kubernetes-based enterprise platforms operating at scale. Clear growth path toward Senior Platform Engineer and Infrastructure Lead roles Opportunity to build deep expertise in regulated and high-impact platform environment. At SimplifyNext, we’re committed to building a team of curious, driven, and forward-thinking individuals who care deeply about creating meaningful impact through technology. If you’re excited by the opportunity to grow, collaborate, and shape the future of digital transformation across the region, we’d be happy to hear from you.
