Description
Cognee is building the memory engine + data plane for AI agents to plan, reason, and act. Our open-source Python SDK is in production at 70+ companies, hit GitHub Trending, and runs 550 000 times a month . We’ve won early customers (top 10 Pharma etc) and just raised a large Seed. We are building a next-generation single-tenant platform that allows customers to deploy and manage dedicated Cognee environments at scale. We are looking for a Platform Engineer to design and build the control plane that automates the provisioning, isolation, and scaling of Relational, Graph and Vector database stacks for every new customer. What You Will Build Tenant Orchestration: Design a multi-cluster control plane to provision dedicated Cognee deployments within minutes of a user signing up. Infrastructure as Code: Maintain and scale global infrastructure using Terraform or Pulumi to manage hundreds of isolated customer environments. High-Density Isolation: Implement strict compute and storage isolation using Kubernetes Namespaces, vCluster, or dedicated node pools to ensure zero cross-tenant data leakage. AI Stack Management: Optimize the lifecycle of Vector databases (Qdrant) and Graph stores (Neo4j) integrated with the Cognee engine. Automated Scaling: Build intelligent auto-scaling policies that respond to heavy LLM-based graph processing workloads. Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP services (VPC, IAM, S3, RDS) and multi-region deployment strategies. Kubernetes: Deep experience with K8s Operators, Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs), and Service Meshes (Istio/Linkerd) for routing tenant traffic. Single-Tenant Architecture: Proven track record of building "SaaS-link" platforms where each user receives an isolated instance of the application. Database Ops: Experience managing distributed databases at scale, specifically PostgreSQL, Vector (Qdrant) or Graph (Neo4j). Bonus for FalkorDB and others Mastery of Go, Python, or Rust for building platform tools and high-performance microservices. API Design: Excellence in REST, GraphQL, and OpenAPI specifications to create intuitive platform interfaces Automation: Expert-level proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation. Security Mindset: Knowledge of SOC2/GDPR compliance, specifically regarding data encryption at rest and in transit within isolated environments.
