Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Systems Operations Engineer to join the Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking Technology (CCIBT) organization. This role functions as a Business Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with enterprise-level influence, driving strategic initiatives across infrastructure platforms. The Senior Lead will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, shaping the reliability strategy, architecture, and operating model for infrastructure platforms supporting business-critical applications.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead reliability initiatives and influence platform modernization strategies
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, translating business needs into technical solutions
  • Architect observability, automation, and failover strategies across infrastructure domains
  • Define and govern SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets for critical services
  • Drive incident response frameworks, root cause analysis, and postmortem practices to reduce MTTR
  • Influence target state architecture and operating models for infrastructure reliability
  • Collaborate with platform engineering, application teams, and business stakeholders to align reliability goals with service delivery
  • Mentor and guide lead engineers and operations teams across the organization

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement enterprise-wide reliability engineering frameworks
  • Lead strategic planning for infrastructure operations, migrations, and hybrid cloud adoption
  • Architect automation solutions for operational tasks and platform resilience
  • Establish governance for observability, telemetry, and incident management practices
  • Partner with leadership to define long-term reliability goals and KPIs
