We support wellbeing, flexible working and have a generous leave offering. There is the opportunity for growth, learning and career development. No two days are the same. We’re seeking a Platform Lead to build and shape our new Developer Experience (DevXP) team within the Engineering domain. This team will create a unified developer platform that simplifies how developers build, deploy, and operate software — accelerating delivery, reducing risk, and attracting top talent. You’ll drive the development of self-service tools and golden paths that streamline workflows and boost developer productivity. Mō te Tūranga | About the Role What are some day-to-day tasks the successful candidate in this role will complete? Engage with engineering teams to understand their products and workflows, identifying opportunities to integrate them into the developer platform as self-service offerings. Facilitate discovery and validation sessions with developers and stakeholders to gather feedback, prototype solutions, and refine the platform roadmap based on real needs. Communicate regularly with the developer community, engineering teams, and stakeholders to share updates, promote adoption, and gather insights that inform platform improvements. Oversee the development and integration of platform features such as golden paths, CI/CD standard pipeline, and monitoring tools, ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with strategic goals. Track and communicate progress by defining success metrics, monitoring adoption, and sharing outcomes with leadership to maintain support and visibility. What is the team culture and environment like? In Engineering, we simplify and standardise application and service delivery so teams can create with confidence and deliver with freedom. The role offers a unique blend of strategic ownership, technical leadership, and deep engagement with developers and stakeholders to validate needs and deliver outcome-based solutions. What is the most challenging thing about this opportunity? This role demands a leader who can drive clarity, simplify complexity, and build trust across engineering and technology domains — all while delivering tangible improvements that developers genuinely adopt and value. What will success look like for the candidate in this role? Success means delivering a developer platform that developers love to use — one that simplifies their experience, accelerates delivery, and reduces risk. You’ll demonstrate strong product leadership by defining and executing a clear vision and roadmap, aligning stakeholders, and championing adoption across the organisation. You’ll balance long-term vision with short-term impact, lead through collaboration, and continuously refine solutions based on feedback and measurable outcomes.
