Employment period: 1-year contract Location: Hung Hom Platform Manager – Assets and Operations Services (Smart Metering System Team) Key Responsibilities: Serve as a Team Lead in relevant domain, conducting user requirement analysis, end-to-end system design, system enhancements, and troubleshooting. Collaborate closely with stakeholders and service providers for solution planning, service delivery, and technical support. Lead and guide junior IT staff (analysts, associates) on project delivery and system support Manage the implementation and ongoing maintenance of IT systems which are crucial to CLP’s business operations, particularly those related to the Power System/Metering. Key systems include but are not limited to: Advanced Metering Infrastructure – Strategic Metering Platform Meter Data Management System Power Quality Monitoring and Analysis Platform Participate in various system implementation lifecycle activities including development, deployment, testing, training, system cutover and rollout, documentation, maintenance, and support. Requirements: A recognized university degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related disciplines; a Master’s degree is desirable. 8-12 years of IT service experience. Extensive project management and vendor management experience across different cloud service models (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS). Proven experience in supporting critical systems and working effectively under pressure (e.g., 7x24 incident response and management). Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Good communication skills with demonstrated ability in vendor, change, people and stakeholder management. Proactive, results-driven with a strong performance orientation. Commitment to continuous professional development. Proficient in spoken and written English, fluent in Mandarin is desirable. Domain knowledge in Metering is highly desirable. Knowledge / experience in DevOps, Test Automation, and API-based application integrations, AI concept and adoption would be highly preferred. Hands-on experience or knowledge in any three of the following areas: IT applications in utilities or energy sectors Technologies including .NET, .NET Framework, JavaScript, PowerShell, Microservices, T-SQL, RDBMS (e.g., MSSQL Server, PostgreSQL) Streaming / Queuing technology (e.g. Kafka, MSMQ) System integration across different cloud services model (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) and different integration approaches Cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and Alibaba Cloud DevOps, Test Automation, or API-based application integrations ABOUT CLP CLP was founded in Hong Kong in 1901, at a time when electricity was still a novelty worldwide.
