Description
Job Description Hej! Ready to help shape the future with smart, innovative solutions? At IKEA, you can feel at home while making a difference for millions. We’re a place where everyone is welcome, encouraged to explore new tech, try new things and grow from mistakes. As our Platform Manager, you’ll have the chance to stretch your skills, experiment and work in new ways. We are transforming the Technology and Platform organisation to build a modern and scalable technology foundation for Inter IKEA. To make this shift possible, we need an organisation that is fully aligned with our Operating Model: one that works with a strong product‑ and platform‑thinking mindset and is ready to take full accountability from strategy to operations. We are looking for passionate people who are energised by change, motivated by learning and driven by the opportunity to make a positive difference. About the role As Platform Manager for Integration Reengineering, you are at the centre of our modernization and adoption of Common Technology Foundation. Leading the full platform lifecycle of our integration technologies and defining the path forward for our legacy landscape. This includes activities such as decommissioning, uplifting, guiding and empowering our product teams on their modernization journey – contributing to the implementation of our overall roadmap. A key part of the role is coordinating cross‑unit dependencies and aligning platform capability roadmaps with enterprise and business strategies. You work closely with technology and platform networks, architects, product teams and core businesses to build a common direction and communicate priorities, roadmaps and activity plans clearly across the organisation. You drive performance and remove friction though fostering a Platform-as-a-Product mindset. Treating our integration platforms as a product, where success is measured by the velocity and autonomy of the engineering teams who consume them. You also foster strong DevOps practices, automation and developer experience to support faster and more reliable delivery. Leading people is a big part of the job. As a leader, you grow high‑performing, curious teams with the skills we need today and in the future. Through competence development, succession planning, and an innovation mindset, you create the conditions for teams to thrive. You also take responsibility for budget planning, cost monitoring, and optimising spend. About you You move confidently between technical depth and business context, drawing from solid experience in platforms, architecture, service management and digital product development. You are comfortable navigating frameworks such as Agile, DevOps, ITIL and TOGAF, and you understand how to apply them in practice to achieve meaningful outcomes. You enjoy translating complex technical topics into simple business language. You communicate with purpose, collaborate naturally across units, and build trusted relationships with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. With a growth mindset, you continuously explore new technologies, new ways of working, and you guide teams through change and a never-ending wish to learn more and collaborate. To be successful in this role, the following knowledge, skills and experiences would be valuable: Strong understanding of platforms, architecture and technology ecosystems across cloud, on‑prem and hybrid environments Software engineering at scale - API-first design, event-based architecture, API Gateways, and Legacy-to-Cloud strangler patterns Experience applying agile frameworks, scaled delivery models, metrics and OKRs to drive value and improvement Proven ability to lead and develop high‑performing technical teams and drive organisational change Above all, your leadership is grounded in IKEA values: you build trust, collaborate across organisational boundaries and influence without relying on formal authority. About us At IKEA, we think and work differently. We challenge old patterns and create new solutions, whether that’s a music-playing lamp or plant-based food that’s better for the planet. Our vision is simple: to create a better everyday life for the many people. In Technology and Platform, we support the whole organisation by providing reliable technology and digital platforms that are easy to use and built for the future. By working closely with others across IKEA, we turn technology into real value and support ongoing transformation. Additional Information We look forward to hearing from you. If you have any questions about the role, please don’t hesitate to apply or connect, as we are proceeding quickly, therefore we will interview continuously during advertising. You can reach out to recruiter: Jordi Menick ([email protected]) This is a full-time position located in either Malmö or Delft.
