Platform Portfolio Lead We have an opportunity for a Platform Portfolio Lead to join our Wealth, Insurance & Product Governance team and lead delivery of a future-ready platform, working with manufacturing partners to integrate advisory tools, customer portals, and operational systems into a seamless, secure, and scalable experience for customers and colleagues across multiple product propositions on platform. This is an Auckland based role and is a hybrid role with a minimum of three days in the office per week. What are 5 day to day tasks the person in this role will complete? Manage day to day platform functions ensure platform stability, scalability, and compliance while driving innovation and customer-centric enhancements. Strong customer focus, working with internal and external partners to deliver products and services to our clients, managing conflicts and complaints Lead team to deliver all operational services elements on platform for BNZ customer proposition(s) held on platform. Manage and support the daily Investment management, client services tasks on platform Implementation of products and services as specified by product managers and the business to drive growth Define and communicate a compelling Wealth Wrap platform strategy aligned with BNZ’s wealth proposition and long-term digital goals. What is your management style? My management style is direct and delivery focused, with a collaborative, and empowering approach. I’m clear on objectives, and decision rights, and then give people the trust and space to deliver. I believe high performance comes from clarity, and trust. What is the most challenging thing about this opportunity? The challenge is balancing ambition with discipline across multiple stakeholders—internally and externally—while maintaining momentum. Platforms operate across different organisational priorities, commercial incentives, and delivery constraints. Aligning BNZ and partner teams behind a single set of outcomes, timeframes, and performance expectations requires strong commercial judgement, clarity of communication, and the confidence to make trade‑offs. The role also requires ensuring that strategy translates into execution, keeping focus on what will genuinely move the dial for customers and BNZ, rather than allowing complexity or competing priorities to dilute impact. What will success look like for the candidate in this role? Success in this role will be reflected in strong, trust-based partnerships that deliver stable platforms that can deliver products and services to our customers and colleagues that support outcomes for BNZ. The successful candidate will have strong wealth and platform knowledge, with proven capabilities leading operational teams, and medium size implementation and delivery projects. They will also lead a high-performing team and culture that values accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement, while maintaining strong alignment across BNZ and constructive engagement with partners. Ultimately, success will be evident when the platforms are fit for purpose, scalable, and sustainable, delivering long-term value for BNZ and its customers. What specific skills would be beneficial? 7+ years experience with a strong understanding of deposit and financial services, deposit products, including significant wealth and or insurance experience Senior Management experience with a track record in developing individuals and teams to drive performance, Leading and implementing a high performance culture Proven experience in platform management within financial services or wealth technology. Strong understanding of wrap platforms, SaaS architecture, and wealth product workflows. Significant experience in stakeholder engagement, vendor management, and risk mitigation. Familiarity with APIs, integration frameworks, data structures, and regulatory compliance in wealth management What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role?
