POSITION SUMMARY:

Our Lincoln, RI office is seeking a Platform Specialist who will implement, configure, and support enterprise platforms, with a focus on automation and operations. They will contribute to the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines. This position is open to all levels of experience.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of enterprise platforms, ensuring system stability, uptime, and performance. Provide troubleshooting, support, and issue resolution to maintain high levels of availability and reliability.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize platforms and DevOps pipelines, increasing their reliability and cost-effectiveness.
• Understand and apply Agile development best practices, and other approaches for iterative development of production-ready software.
• Have a clear understanding of business processes and workflows and core team applications and specializations.
• Follow organizational code development policies and engages in secure coding practices.
• Work collaboratively across the organization and communicate effectively with stakeholders in different departments and at all levels of the organization to ensure cohesive platform and DevOps strategies.
• Actively seek out opportunities to learn and apply emerging trends such as best practices and standards.
• Look for challenging assignments that add value to the organization and apply learnings from those opportunities to the role.
• Independently learn from failures or missteps and apply learnings in various contexts.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities to automate development, provisioning, and release work to accelerate and improve the quality of solutions delivery.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex platform and pipeline issues.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
• Committed to continuous learning through training sessions, seminars and other avenues including but not limited to the immediate job.
• Familiar with Java and object-oriented programming.
• Familiar with Linux/Unix and Windows OS and the use of CLI commands on both OSs combined with equal expertise on using AWS CLI and its commands.
• Familiar with automation scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Terraform, Ansible).
• Familiar with CI/CD pipeline creation and management, utilizing tools like GitHub, IBM DevOps Deploy, QuickBuild, and Maven.
• Ability to adjust to changing demands and rallying teams to meet customer needs.
