ABOUT US

We are a well-established holiday club offering a fun, safe and enriching environment for children during school holidays. We are now looking for enthusiastic, energetic and caring Play Workers to join our team!
This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about childcare, who thrives in a busy, creative, and child-focused setting and wants flexible work during school holiday periods.
The ideal candidate will have the skills necessary to foster child development through play.
This role involves supervising and engaging children aged 3+ in fun activities, whilst ensuring their wellbeing and promoting a positive atmosphere.

REQUIREMENTS:

✅ Experience working with children (formal or informal) (Preferred)
✅ Experience of working in an Early Years setting (Desirable)
✅ Safeguarding awareness desirable (Training provided)
✅ Paediatric First Aid training (Desirable)
✅ Confident leading activities
✅ Enthusiasm, reliability and excellent communication and teamwork skills
✅ English speaking
✅All successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As a Play Worker you will:

  • Be responsible for delivering a variety of engaging play activities for children aged 3+, that stimulate learning and development, whilst ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide high-quality care and supervision for children aged 3+
  • Plan and lead fun, stimulating activities
  • Ensure a safe and welcoming play environment
  • Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging social skills and teamwork
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding and child protection
  • Communicate effectively with parents, staff and visitors
  • Uphold all club policies, procedures and health and safety standards
  • Attend relevant training sessions
