Apply today Qualifications THE RESOURCE EXCHANGE Job Description The Resource Exchange Position Title: Playgroup Assistant Department: Children's Services Reports to: Parent Liaison FLSA: Non-exempt Supervisor responsibilities: N/A Starting Range: $15.22 hourly General Description: The Early Intervention Playgroup oversees all aspects of implementing and maintaining Playgroup Program, while supporting the efforts of the Early Intervention Team. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Lead Playgroup activities for children ages 0-4 years. Connect families with community resources, as needed. Ensure that intake forms are complete for each participant. Plan curriculum for classroom. Set up the play area to offer art, music, early literacy, fine motor, gross motor and a sensory activity each playgroup session. Coordinate fieldtrips with other community groups. Create and distribute monthly schedule and flyers. Purchase supplies for the classroom according to a budget. Support and attend outreach events to promote program. Ensure that Playgroup grant requirements are met and support grant activities, such as: attending site visits, assist in grant writing, writing reports, etc. Work within budget guidelines for the program. Other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Minimum: At least two years experience working in an early childhood environment or other related experience. Must possess and keep current a CPR & First Aid Certification Basic computer knowledge (MS Office) Education and Experience Requirements: Minimum: Bachelors degree in Early Childhood, Education or related field is preferred. If an individual does not meet the educational requirement, considerations may be made if the individual has experience working with long-term services and supports (LTSS) population, in a private or public agency, or has a combination of LTSS experience and education, demonstrating a strong emphasis in a human behavioral science field. Preferred: Working knowledge of Medicaid Waiver programs and requirements; experience working with persons with disabilities. Knowledge of and experience working with community resources and resource development. Working Environment/Physical Activities: Moderate physical activity required, such as stooping, kneeling, crawling, bending, turning, reaching, climbing, and balancing. Requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull or push heavy objects or materials. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Must work in noisy and crowded environments. A working vehicle, valid CO drivers license (unless active Military family), and minimum insurance levels ($100,000/$300,000/$100,000 liability coverage) are required.
