Job Title: Playleader (Breakfast Coordinator)
Actual Annual Salary: £3,408 - £3,715 (Based on hours and working weeks)
Full Time Equivalent Salary: £25,136 - £27,398 (CLF Grade B). Based on 37 hours per week, all year round.
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Part Time, 6 hours per week, Monday to Friday / Term Time Only
Provisional Start Date: September 2025

YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO SUPPORT STUDENT WELLBEING AND ENGAGEMENT AT THE START OF THE SCHOOL DAY:

We are looking for a passionate Play Leader to join our supportive and talented team at Winterstoke Hundred Academy on a permanent basis.
As our Breakfast Club Coordinator, you will assist with the management and delivery of high-quality play provision for students outside of academy hours. You’ll help create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment that supports student wellbeing, encourages positive social interaction, and sets the tone for a successful school day. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the daily experience of our learners.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have:

  • Experience working with young people, ideally in a play-based, youth work, or educational setting.
  • The ability to lead and motivate a small team, ensuring smooth and safe daily operations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a calm and empathetic approach.
  • A good understanding of safeguarding, health and safety, and behaviour management practices.
  • Basic food hygiene knowledge and a willingness to undertake relevant training (e.g., first aid, medication administration).
  • A commitment to inclusion, equity, and promoting the wellbeing of all students.
