QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completed technical training as an electronics technician for automation technology or equivalent
  • Several years of professional experience in industrial automation and in PLC programming and creation of visualizations (Siemens / Rockwell) is mandatory
  • Experience in work with Shiploaders/ -unloaders or cranes beneficial
  • Good knowledge of Windows-based IT environments
  • Good written and spoken English skills required, German skills are beneficial
  • Independent, proactive and solution-oriented way of working
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Committed, flexible and team-oriented personality
  • Willingness to travel worldwide approx. 50%
Responsibilities

For our automation department in the picturesque town of Beilngries - located almost at the geographical centre of Bavaria - we are looking for a PLC programmer who is willing to travel for an extended period of time.

  • PLC programming the control systems for ship loaders and unloaders
  • Creating the system specification and project documentation
  • Checking the circuit diagrams
  • Commissioning the ship loader/unloader, including the peripherals and occasionally the associated silo system
  • Training for customer personnel during/after commissioning for correct operation and troubleshooting
  • Service calls with remote maintenance or directly on site at the customer’s premises
  • Internal contact person for automation issues for engineering, R&D and quotations
  • Cross-departmental collaboration with R&D, engineering and assembly
  • Continuous realization of improvements
