About the opportunity Reporting to the General Manager PLC Mercy Health, and working collaboratively with the PLC Team, the PLC Manager will lead and support a team to provide timely, effective and quality PLC strategic and operational support and implementation of solutions that enable positive people and business outcomes across their portfolio. Working closely with their Portfolio leadership team and key stakeholders The PLC Manger will deliver strategic and operational PLC advice and support, including workforce planning, performance management, grievance management including investigations, conduct performance reviews, return to work including work related/non-work-related injury cases, change management, provide award and multiple public sector Enterprise Agreement interpretation, succession management and ad hoc projects. Travel may be a requirement of the position, when required to support and partner with stakeholders/managers and to establish a presence within various health services sites. To thrive in this role, you will have: Experience Significant HR experience both operationally and strategically, including strong experience in the management and resolution of employee relations in a highly industrial sector is required Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring an HR team in the delivery of quality HR support and advice. Competencies Demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders and drive positive cultural change, leading by example. Highly developed skills and experience in leading change management strategies. Possess a combination of strong and effective communication skills, strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to support the overall business strategy, succession and workforce planning. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to anticipate and mitigate risks Ability to provide specialist HR advice and reporting insights Ability to effectively interpret information from a wide variety of sources and develop suitable procedures or actions to deliver outcomes to support client group Excellent time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve quickly The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining: A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
