Description

OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a skilled PLC Programmer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming logic controllers and a solid understanding of mechanical systems. This role is essential for ensuring the efficient operation of our automated processes and machinery. The PLC Programmer will work closely with engineering and maintenance teams to develop, implement, and maintain control systems that enhance productivity and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC logic controllers to ensure optimal performance of automated equipment.
  • Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems (e.g., Allen-
  • Bradley, Siemens, etc.)
  • Develop HMI interfaces and integrate with PLCs
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams
  • Design and layout electrical control panels, select components, and prepare
  • BOMs
  • Collaborate with mechanical and process engineers to integrate automation
  • solutions
  • Conduct testing, debugging, and documentation of control systems
  • Provide support for field installation, startup, and troubleshooting
  • Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and best
  • practices

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field
  • Minimum 2years of experience in PLC programming and electrical design
  • Hands-on experience with control panel wiring and electrical assembly
  • Proficiency in software such as RS Logix 5000/Studio 5000, TIA Portal S7-1200, S7-1500, or similar
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, etc.)
  • Familiarity with motor control, VFDs, sensors, and industrial instrumentation
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
  • Willingness to travel to client sites as required
