We are seeking a skilled PLC Programmer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming logic controllers and will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting PLC systems. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can work collaboratively with other team members to ensure optimal performance of our automated systems.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven 5+ years experience as a PLC Programmer or similar role in an industrial environment. Preferably automotive.
  • Strong understanding of logic controllers and their applications in manufacturing processes.
  • Background as an industrial electrician is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with CNC programming is a plus.
  • Experience in industrial maintenance practices is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement PLC programs for various manufacturing processes.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain existing PLC systems to ensure efficient operation.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to detect and resolve issues in control systems and quality issues
  • Fabricate and modify electrical panels and control systems as needed.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics to understand system designs.
  • Preventative maintenance checks on machinery and other automated equipment.
  • Document all programming changes, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Help to further evolve and maintain company PLC programming standards for future applications
  • Be involved in GMG’s cross functional teams to problem solve and provide input for new machine design/builds.
