About the Company: At Aquaticode, we have invented and are producing the industry-leading, AI-powered platform and machine solution to sort fish of different species according to gender, deformities, diseases, etc. We are scaling up our number of machines and looking for an ambitious PLC programmer, who is looking to take responsibility in the PLC domain for Aquaticode. Tasks: Design, program, develop and implement PLC systems for machinery. Modify, optimize, and maintain existing PLC programs to enhance efficiency and reliability. Perform remote troubleshooting and resolve PLC-related issues to minimize downtime. Ensure all systems comply with safety standards and cybersecurity requirements. Document all programming changes and maintain proper version control. Assist commissioning and construction of new machine. Define, implement, and maintain global PLC standards. Collaborate with suppliers, software teams, and AI teams to ensure seamless system integration. Analyze machine data to detect faults, diagnose failures, and monitor overall machine performance. Proven experience in PLC programming as Automation, Industrial Engineer or similar role. Track record of deploying automation solutions (machines) in the field. Apply solution thinking (consider all aspects of the automation solution). As it has not been done before, apply agile work style to iterate quickly to get to solution. Work self-directed and solution oriented (we are a remote first company). Excellent communication skills. Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills. B.Sc. in Automation, Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering or similar field. Master’s degree is a plus. Willing and excited to travel up to 75% of total time. Very good English proficiency.
Responsibilities
The PLC Programmer will design, program, develop, and implement PLC systems for machinery, while also modifying and maintaining existing PLC programs. They will perform remote troubleshooting and ensure compliance with safety and cybersecurity standards.
