This is a Monday through Friday position with on-call responsibilities nights and weekends, if needed. This is a great opportunity if you are an experienced Industrial Electrician, Electrical and Controls Technician, Electrical and Instrumentation Technician (E&I Tech),,, or similar. Job Summary Analyzes, troubleshoots, repairs, improves, and maintains up to 480v electrical power circuits and equipment. Maintains and upgrades control and automation systems and instrumentation, electronic and pneumatic equipment used in pump stations, water plant operations, and measuring and monitoring equipment. Key Characteristics Duties include installing, inspecting, maintaining, operating, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating various mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic equipment. Knowledge of PLC programming software (AB, Emerson/GE Fanuc, Siemens) Connect a computer to a communications network Upload/Download and go online Locate I/O tags and devices Interpret project organization and execution Interpret ladder logic structure Locate and edit tag values Interpret bit and frequently used instructions and associated tags Force I/O and toggle bits Troubleshoot digital I/O, analog I/O, banked local I/O, distributed I/O, controller, power supply, and noise related problems Update Logix5000 firmware Edit ladder logic online Complete all required documentation associated with duties. Perform preventative maintenance checks on pumps, compressors, drives, and auxiliary equipment. Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns. Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Mentor and train employees when the opportunity presents itself. Responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of all tools and equipment needed for duties. Oversee the construction and/or maintenance activities performed by third parties. Stay up to date on Operations Qualifications and required training. Interface and communicate with customers and suppliers as required. Complies with company Safety and Quality policies and Code of Conduct. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Proficient with electronic/electrical test instruments and measurement devices. Knowledge and experience reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical blueprints and diagrams. Experience working with water treatment equipment is a plus. Ability to work with a team and coordinate work schedules. Demonstrates a high attention to details and is able to follow work processes, standards, and requirements. Must be able to work from elevated platforms, ladders, stairwells, walkways, etc Knowledge of Allen Bradley and Siemens hardware and software preferred. Qualifications Education & Experience Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Experience: 5+ years of relevant instrumentation and electrical experience in an industrial environment. Required: Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers. Preferred (if applicable): AA degree is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience to meet the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. Additional Information Up to 75% travel, typically within the region. Work typically in outdoor environments.
