Description PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION: Flexibility to work and train on multiple shifts. All other duties as assigned. Provide technical assistance to the maintenance team on electrical hardware and software to maintain and keep the plant in operation when breakdowns occur Investigate, diagnose, and repair equipment electrical/control system failures and report to Engineering Group for root cause analysis Maintain and modify as needed PLC and control programming Support Engineering Group in the design and development of equipment controls modifications Perform and document electrical related PMs (Planned Maintenance) on process and facilities equipment as assigned Support Engineering Group in design and development of capital projects Requirements QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED: Industrial Automation Degree, Engineering Technology Degree, or equivalent experience Minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience Excellent communication and interpersonal relation skills Knowledge of standard testing techniques and practices for general purposes and specialized test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, current clamps, programmers, etc.) Working knowledge of computer and PLC hardware (design, programming, start-up) PLC Programming experience including Allen Bradley, Siemens, and Fanuc controls preferred Basic knowledge of motion controls and devices (I/O processors, digital/analog modules, servo motors, high-speed counters, steppers, and resolvers/encoders, etc.) Knowledge of low power distribution systems Electrical design/drafting with ability to clearly and accurately annotate electrical documents, prints, software programs, industrial sensors (non-contact sensors, thermocouples, RTDs, level sensors, flow sensors, safety interlocks) CNC or Aluminum Extrusion experience preferred Essential Physical Functions: Ability to work on the production floor with exposure to dust, fumes, odors, loud noise, and varying temperatures. Ability to perform physical tasks that are repetitive. Ability to do work requires standing with frequent stooping, bending, reaching overhead and sufficient manual dexterity to perform all aspects of the job. Ability to lift, move parts and equipment up to 100 pounds in a team lift. Able to work up to 12 hour shifts primarily standing. We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
