REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation.
3–6+ years in PLC programming and commissioning, with Siemens systems.
Strong knowledge of industrial protocols (Modbus, Profinet, IEC61850, IEC104).
Experience with Siemens TIA Portal, WinCC, SICAM tools, and IED gateway configuration.
Familiar with diagnostic tools (Wireshark, IEC61850 test tools).
Ability to read electrical drawings, signal lists, and SCADA point lists.

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

Orbit International Survey Services LLC is seeking a skilled PLC & Substation Automation Engineer (Siemens Specialist) with proven expertise in Siemens SICAM PAS, SICAM A8000 RTUs (CP8022/CP8050), and WinCC SCMS. The role focuses on programming, configuration, testing, and commissioning of automation and control systems for high-voltage substations (765kV/400kV/220kV), with emphasis on protocol integration, network communication, and IED configuration.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and troubleshoot Siemens PLC programs using TIA Portal (S7-1200/1500).
Configure and integrate field devices with Modbus (RTU/TCP), Profinet, IEC61850 (GOOSE, MMS), IEC104.
Perform FAT, SAT, and simulation testing for PLC/SCADA systems.
Lead on-site commissioning (I/O testing, protocol validation, VFD setup, SCADA/EMS/DMS integration).
Diagnose and resolve PLC, SCADA, and protocol issues in field or remote support.
Prepare documentation: communication matrices, IED configs, test reports, backups.
Support client training and system handovers.
