Description
Responsibilities
  • Providing support during design, build, and commissioning of newly built automation equipment (assembly lines, robotic cells – material handling, test equipment, and similar).
  • Modification of existing production equipment.
  • Programming PLCs, HMIs, robots, vision and motion systems, safety controllers, etc.
  • Setting up controls networks (Ethernet/IP, Ethercat, etc.).
  • Modifications of existing and development of new Labview-based programs.
  • Working with Mechanical Designers, attending design reviews, and supporting mechanical design from the controls side.
  • Customer support during equipment commissioning.
  • Continuous improvements – improving existing methods, systems, and looking for better ways of approaching a problem.
  • Preparing technical documentation, user and maintenance manuals, setup procedures, etc.
  • Ensuring the adherence to ISO 45001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, ISO 9001 policies, and any other industry standards in all activities.
  • Ensuring that all levels of safety are implemented into each automation change.
  • Completion of run-at-rate process performance testing in conjunction with manufacturing operations.
  • Specifying and sourcing materials and equipment to best suit requirements.
  • Traveling between Stackpole locations both domestic and international.
  • Coordinating continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Performing other related duties as required.
