Job Details Job Location: San Jose, CA Position Type: Full Time Education Level: High School Salary Range: $24.32 - $28.42 Hourly Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: Any Description Job Summary: Supervisor – The Plex Support the day-to-day operations of the Sportsplex to help ensure a positive experience for participants and guests. Assist with overseeing leagues, lessons, and events, and help maintain a clean, safe, and customer-friendly environment. Work closely with the management team to uphold company standards, provide guidance to part-time staff, and support the implementation of operational procedures. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to lead by example in a fast-paced setting. Duties/Responsibilities: Support The Plex team in delivering excellent customer service and smooth daily operations. Assist with supervising part-time staff, including shift leads and program coordinators. Help monitor activities across the facility, including leagues, events, and rentals. Conduct regular walk-throughs to ensure the facility is clean, safe, and operating according to standards. Provide on-the-floor guidance and coaching to team members to promote service excellence. Report any maintenance, safety, or staffing issues to management in a timely manner. Ensure opening and closing procedures are followed correctly during scheduled shifts. Support staff training by reviewing checklists and department procedures with new hires. Assist with the execution of special events, tournaments, and seasonal programs. Help enforce company safety protocols and support emergency response procedures when necessary. Participate in staff meetings and offer input to help improve programs and operations. Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment. Perform other duties as assigned by The Plex manager, or senior leadership. Required Skills/Abilities: Good interpersonal and communication skills Basic leadership and team coordination abilities Good organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to stay calm and make sound decisions under pressure Willingness to take initiative and learn new tasks Dependable and professional in behavior and appearance Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required At least one year of experience in a customer service, recreation, or sports facility setting preferred Prior leadership or supervisory experience is a plus CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 60 days) Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs Ability to climb stairs, bend, and perform physical tasks as needed Comfortable working in a fast-paced, active environment Ability to operate a computer and phone May skate on rink, or run on field This job description in no way states or implies that these are the sole duties to be performed by the incumbent.
