Janicki Industries is an innovative, family-owned aerospace company located at the foot of the Cascades. We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace, defense, and space industries. We are looking for a PLM Administrator to join our growing team.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The PLM administrator is responsible for the administration, configuration, and optimization of the PLM software to ensure smooth integration with other enterprise systems. This role involves the storage and archiving of project data to ensure data integrity meets internal and external compliance requirements. They are further responsible for the engineering software needs of the design group in way of maintenance, proper use and advancement. The incumbent shall have general knowledge of manufacturing procedures and is an expert in design procedures, standards, and expectations to identify and implement efficiency gains thru the software in the department.

The following essential job functions are performed as a PLM administrator:

  • Monitors and Controls implementation of the companies data control policy
  • Has knowledge to support key design software’s including but not limited to: Catia, Seimens NX, Kubatek, ECTR, Teamcenter
  • Works to continually advance the CAD software use methodology (accomplished through methods such as advance training, scripts, macro routines, integration into other software)
  • Ensures training methodology for design software and data control processes
  • Fulfills a leadership role in support and implementation of engineering design practices
  • Manages the CAD software licenses and upgrades
  • Maintains effective communication within the design group, and other infrastructure teams (IT, SAP, Operations, Project Engineering, etc…).
  • Coordinates with IT/IS Manager to ensure systems, hardware, and software meet the needs of users
  • Enforces industry standards and practices throughout all work performed
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Behavior: The incumbent must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines. The incumbent shall, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Being at work on time and maintaining good attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • An Associates of Arts Degree in Drafting/Design Technologies or a related field is preferred
  • Education may be substituted with equivalent industry experience. All positions required at least a high school diploma/GED.
  • Recommend minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as Design Technician or equivalent
  • Must have strong communication skills through written, verbal, and graphical mediums in the English language
  • Command of CATIA and NX CAD software, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office, is required. SAP, ECTR, Teamcenter, script writing (not limited to VBA, C++, JAVA, etc) is preferred.
