JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Functional PLM Expert to lead the design, development, and optimization of process workflows within our PLM system, with a strong focus on integration with SAP. This role will serve as a key liaison between business users, IT, and integration teams to ensure seamless alignment of product lifecycle processes with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
This role will be for 3 months, 20 hours per week. Remore.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
  • 5+ years of functional experience with PLM systems.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing PLM workflows and business processes.
  • Strong experience with PLM–SAP integrations, including middleware knowledge (e.g., SAP PI/PO, BAPIs, REST APIs).
  • Familiarity with product structures, engineering change management, document control, and BOM management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to navigate complex enterprise systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in industries such as manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, or high tech is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into PLM process workflows.
  • Design, configure, and optimize end-to-end functional workflows within the PLM application (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, Dassault ENOVIA).
  • Lead efforts to integrate PLM workflows with SAP (e.g., BOM synchronization, change management, materials master data).
  • Ensure data consistency, quality, and traceability between PLM and SAP systems.
  • Document functional specifications, use cases, test cases, and standard operating procedures.
  • Drive process harmonization and continuous improvement within PLM and adjacent systems.
  • Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for PLM-related issues, particularly around integrations.
  • Support user training, change management, and adoption of new workflows.
  • Work with developers and integration teams to ensure functional requirements are accurately implemented.
