Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS), a leader in software defined, hardware enabled systems for national defense applications, is developing a next-generation Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system for Engineering and Manufacturing product and process data. This system will be the foundation of our digital transformation and the future of advanced Engineering and Manufacturing capabilities and automation within the company, including Model-Based Engineering and Additive Manufacturing.
As a member of the test team, you will be developing / designing manual tests based on standard tools to improve defect avoidance, test throughput, and customer confidence. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing manual test suite to ensure optimal test coverage for all levels of testing, including system integration, functional, and regression on a variety of platforms.
The Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Software Quality Principal Test Engineer will support the validation of Teamcenter throughout Northrop Grumman Missions Systems as the PLM Solution.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS FOR PRINCIPAL LEVEL:
- Minimum Education / Experience for Principal Test Engineer: 5 (five) years of relevant experience with bachelor’s degree in science, Technology, Engineering and/or Mathematics (STEM); three (3) years with Masters; two (2) years with PhD.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS FOR SENIOR PRINCIPAL LEVEL:
- Minimum Education / Experience for Principal Test Engineer: 8 (eight) years of relevant experience with bachelor’s degree in science, Technology, Engineering and/or Mathematics (STEM); six (6) years with Masters; four (4) years with PhD.
REMAINING QUALIFICATIONS FOR BOTH LEVELS:
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools and processes.
- Experience with complex Product Lifecycle Management Systems, especially Teamcenter applications related to Engineering and Manufacturing.
- Abilities to Design test cases, execute and report defects on multiple environments.
- Good experience of test management tools such as TFS or JIRA.
- Working knowledge of multiple Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC) and industry standard development methodologies.
- Experience with defect tracking tools and test case management systems.
- Knowledge of performing test activity in an Agile environment.
- Experience with Teamcenter
- Experience with Integration validation
- Experience with Azure Dev Ops and Git or similar tools.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR BOTH LEVELS:
- ISTQB Foundation level certified
- Experience with any CAD Tools like NX 2406, Creo, Solidworks, TC Simulation etc. along with its integration with PLM software like Teamcenter 2406.
- Testing Experience for software like SAP, eQube BI / MI etc.
- Experience with Agile development methodology, processes, and tools.
- Understanding of the Software Lifecycle Process, end user support, and process documentation.
- Proficiency developing and deploying automated test suites.
- Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Primary Level Salary Range: $91,200.00 - $136,800.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $113,500.00 - $170,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
