PLUMBER – PORTSMOUTH

Salary: £35,092.51
Contract: Permanent, 40 hours
This role requires all candidates to hold a clean driving licence.
We will also conduct a DBS check.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing or equivalent (trade experience may be considered)
• 2–5 years’ experience in social housing or building maintenance
• Strong team player with a positive attitude and excellent customer service skills

THE ROLE

They are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Plumber to join their Portsmouth team. This permanent role involves completing responsive, routine, and void repairs across Portsmouth City Council’s housing and corporate property portfolio, including social housing, schools, offices, heritage sites, and public conveniences. You will be expected to deliver high-quality workmanship, maintain health and safety standards, and demonstrate professionalism when interacting with clients, colleagues, and residents.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complete a wide range of plumbing tasks, including bathroom installations, first and second fixing, emergency water escape repairs, drainage, shower pump replacements, ceramic wall tiling
• Carry out non-licenced asbestos removal (training provided)
• Ensure high standards of health & safety and compliance with company procedures
• Support other maintenance contracts as required
