Gateway Mechanical has an exciting opportunity for a 3rd or 4th year Plumbing Apprentice or Plumber Journeyman (Journeyperson)!

Our model is comprised of local branch teams with fully qualified personnel representing HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing/gas fitting, sheet metal, and electrical trades. The 3rd or 4th year Plumbing Apprentice or Plumber Journeyman (Journeyperson) will perform quality maintenance services for our valued clients on commercial and industrial sites while showcasing exceptional customer service skills.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3rd or 4th Year Plumbing Apprentice Documentation or a Journeyperson Plumber certification
  • Previous service experience is required
  • Red Seal Gas Fitter certification is an asset
  • Valid class 5 driver’s license and current driver’s abstract
  • Required Certifications:
  • Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
  • H2S Alive
  • ESC Confined Space
  • ESC Fall Protection
  • ESC Elevated Work Platform (EWP)
Responsibilities
  • Work within commercial and industrial environments
  • Complete the required daily equipment inspections, safety reports, and Field Level Hazard Assessments
  • Lift up to 50 lbs
  • Perform work using hand and power tools in a safe manner
  • Read and interpret blueprints, basic spec, and shop drawing interpretation considered an asset
  • Maintain clean and operable equipment, vehicle, and work areas at all time
  • Maintenance and service of plumbing equipment such as pumps, boilers, and backflows
    Other required duties may be assigned that fall within the parameters of the primary responsibility of the position.
