Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a skilled plumber/bathroom fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the repair or replacement of various domestic plumbing issues & the refurbishment of bathrooms. The role requires mechanical knowledge, the ability to perform heavy lifting, and proficiency in using hand and power tools. The work will consist of jobs from Edinburgh, Fife & Dundee areas.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble and fit parts accurately to ensure proper function
- Carry out plumbing tasks as needed
- Weld components together using appropriate techniques
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively
- Conduct basic mathematical calculations for measurements
- Possess driving skills for transporting materials
- Demonstrate carpentry skills when necessary
Skills:
The successful candidate should possess the following skills:
- Have passed a Modern Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
- G3 qualification for unvented cylinders preferred but not essential
- Proficiency in plumbing tasks
- Able to work alone & as part of a team
- Mechanical knowledge for equipment assembly
- Welding expertise for joining materials
- Capability to perform heavy lifting tasks
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools
- Hold current & clean driving licence with no more than 3 points
- Company van will be supplied
- Carpentry skills for specific projects (Wetwall, framing up bulkheads, fitting plasterboard etc)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £17.00-£18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
