Plumber Department: Facilities Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time Location: Skegness Reporting To: Gavin Scott Description We’re seeking a Plumber to join our Facilities team at Skegness, where you’ll play a vital role in supporting the resort’s plumbing operations. You’ll be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance across the resort, occasionally collaborating with internal departments and external service providers to ensure everything runs smoothly. Your day-to-day will involve servicing, repairing, and maintaining domestic and commercial equipment, drawing on your expertise in fault finding, installation, and general plumbing works. This is a full-time role at 37.5 hours per week, with your standard schedule running 5 out of 7 days, typically from 08:00 to 16:00. Every few weeks, you’ll rotate onto an evening shift from 14:00 to 22:00, helping us maintain round-the-clock support across the resort. Key Responsibilities Plumbing Maintenance & Repairs Diagnose and repair faults on plumbing systems, plant and equipment. Maintain plumbing systems, fixing leaks, unblocking drains and repairing faulty systems Support the installation and commissioning of new plumbing equipment and upgrades. Ensure minimal disruption to guests and operations when completing works. Safety & Compliance Ensure all plumbing work complies with current regulations Carry out routine safety checks, testing and inspections. Maintain accurate records of maintenance, testing and certification. Support statutory compliance to national building and water regulations Follow safe systems of work, risk assessments and permit-to-work procedures. Respond to emergency call-outs and support incident response when required. Operational Support Support operational teams with plumbing requirements for events, entertainment and seasonal attractions. Assist with resort and accommodations issues Liaise with contractors and oversee plumbing works carried out by third parties. Ensure tools, materials and parts are available and stock levels maintained. Work collaboratively with the wider maintenance and facilities team. Guest & Team Experience Work in a professional and guest-focused manner when operating in public areas. Provide technical advice and support to resort departments. Maintain high standards of housekeeping in all work areas and plant rooms. Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Proven experience as a qualified plumber in a commercial or multi-site environment is essential Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of plumbing systems within hospitality, leisure or similar environments (desirable). Ability to work independently and prioritise workload. Good communication and teamwork skills. Flexible approach to working hours and operational demands.
Responsibilities
The plumber will perform planned and reactive maintenance on domestic and commercial plumbing systems across the resort. They will also ensure all work complies with safety regulations and support operational teams during events and seasonal activities.
