JOB OVERVIEW

Chislehurst Plumbing & Heating Ltd are looking for a skilled plumbing & heating engineer to join our busy team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing in residential properties. There is also potential for work 6 days a week including overtime. We are a small but very busy company with 14 engineers, our aim is to continue to provide all of our clients with the highest standards of work to continue being recommended and providing first class customer service.

SKILLS

  • Mechanical knowledge to understand plumbing systems.
  • Ability to assemble and install piping systems effectively.
  • Proficiency in welding small pipes or special piping.
  • Familiarity with a variety of hand tools and power tools used in plumbing work.
  • Commercial driving skills for transportation needs on the job.
  • Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to plumbing tasks.
  • Capability for heavy lifting when handling equipment or materials during plumbing projects.
  • Full tool and power tool kit required.
  • Capable, confident and experienced with the knowledge of being able to re-plumb whole house if required from start to finish.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble pipe sections, tubing, and fittings using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering.
  • Install and repair plumbing fixtures such as sinks, bathtubs, water heaters, hot water tanks, toilets, and dishwashers.
  • Weld small pipes or special piping to support structures.
  • Use hand tools and power tools to perform plumbing tasks efficiently.
  • Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople when necessary.
  • Drive a van to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations related to plumbing work.
  • Lift heavy objects or equipment as required during plumbing installations or repairs.
