Sign-On Bonus Eligible! Must be courteous to patients, visitors, physicians, volunteers, and other employees of the organization. Under the general supervision of the E.S. Manager, or designee completes assigned maintenance tasks from work orders or plans. Checks for electrical faults in equipment and repairs, replaces and upgrades building equipment wiring and fixtures. Repairs cabinets, lockers and shelving according plan using various finishing materials. Repairs interior partitions, ceilings and floors. Repairs piping and fixtures to relocate equipment or to install new plumbing facilities. Drives the hospital vehicle as required. On occasion, is exposed to high degree of individual tolerance in extremely unpleasant elements and performs heavy physical exertion. On occasion, work involved can be hazardous when under conditions of mechanical or electrical failure. Work requires ability to analyze and evaluate specific circumstance s and make appropriate decisions. Routinely establishes priorities and work plans. Must be able to communicate routine maintenance information throughout the hospital and occasionally with outside services. Handles infectious material, hazardous chemicals and dangerous gases. Operates heavy equipment including snow plow, blower, tractor, etc. Responsible for adhering to established standards of courtesy. Must wear facility provided identification badge.
