As a Plumber at Sodexo, we’re looking for someone who keeps things running smoothly—the one who knows how to solve problems, offer expert advice, and ensure the hospital estate operates at its best. As a Facilities Specialist at Manchester Foundation Trust Hospital, you’ll be the go-to expert for technical support and maintenance across equipment, building systems, and utility services.

WHAT YOU BRING:

We’re hiring across several specialisms, and we’re looking for skilled professionals in the following areas:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience with HVAC, Medical Gas, Heating, or BMS systems
  • Skilled in diagnostics, repairs, and using CAFM/BMS systems.
  • Solid fault-finding, problem-solving, and technical repair skills
  • Ability to read technical drawings and diagnose issues.
  • Excellent time management, teamwork, and communication
  • A positive, initiative-taking approach—able to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of plant, equipment, and systems across the hospital estate.
  • Carry out repairs, installations, and testing to a high standard, with a focus on complex systems
  • Comply with all health and safety, hygiene, and statutory regulations, including COSHH and fire safety.
  • Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and efficient environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
