WHAT WILL THE APPRENTICE BE DOING ON SITE

This is an excellent opportunity to begin your Level 3 Plumbing Apprenticeship working on placement with an establishes Mechanical Services company with 50 years experienced in the trade.

The purpose of this role is to undertake basic plumbing and general labour duties to support qualified plumbers on site. Typically their work involves new build residential works on houses and flats for main contractors including:

  • 1st fix hot and cold pipework
  • Above ground drainage
  • 1st fix ventilation ductwork
  • 2nd fix boilers, cylinders, radiators,

& sanitaryware

  • Testing and commissioning of all services.
  • Carrying out relevant trade supporting

duties on works as requested to client
specifications and the host company’s

standards.

  • Working to allocated times and schedules

for the project.

  • Working as part of a team and use materials

safely.

  • Loading and unloading materials and

equipment as directed.

  • Following Health & Safety policy and

procedures including the wearing of
personal protective equipment when

necessary.

  • Undertaking Health & Safety training as

required.

  • Cutting, bending and joining fittings and

pipes

  • Installing water, heating and drainage

systems

  • Installing gas, central heating and radiators
  • Finding and fixing faults - snagging.

Weekly Wage £

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

GCSE Maths or English Grade C/4 and above or equivalent.
CSCS Card pass
