Description:
OVERVIEW
We are seeking a skilled Heating Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating systems in both residential and light commercial settings. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
SKILLS
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools for installation and repairs.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot heating systems effectively.
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to installations.
- Experience in installing copper pipe work, including soldering and the use of pipe benders.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during installations and repairs.
- Competence in assembling various components related to heating systems.
REQUIREMENTS
- To hold a valid ACS gas qualification with ideally at least 5 years experience.
- To hold a minimum NVQ level 2 qualification in domestic plumbing and heating.
- To hold an unvented hot water storage system qualification (this is preferred with the option to be put through the qualification if not held already).
- To hold a full UK driving licence for at least 5 years.
- Applicant must have their own hand tools and power tools.
