JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a qualified Plumbing Design Engineer with contracting experience in the UAE and mandatory proven experience in dealing with Dubai Municipality (DM) and DEWA regulations. The candidate will be responsible for designing plumbing systems, ensuring full compliance with local codes, and managing approvals and inspections with relevant authorities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Plumbing Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of contracting plumbing design experience in the UAE.
  • Mandatory proven experience in dealing with Dubai Municipality (DM) and DEWA plumbing regulations, approvals, and permits.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE plumbing codes and local authority requirements.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or other plumbing design software.
  • Excellent communication skills for coordination with contractors and government bodies.
  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed plumbing designs for water supply, drainage, sewage, stormwater, and fire protection systems following UAE regulations and project specifications.
  • Ensure all plumbing designs strictly comply with Dubai Municipality (DM) and DEWA regulations.
  • Manage and coordinate all plumbing-related approvals, permits, and inspections with DM and DEWA.
  • Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs are practical, compliant, and cost-effective.
  • Review and approve plumbing design drawings and shop drawings for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor installation and ensure adherence to approved designs and local regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing design and construction issues on-site.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of plumbing codes and standards set by DM and DEWA.
  • Prepare and submit technical documentation, reports, and as-built drawings to authorities.
