ROLE DESCRIPTION

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the growing internal sales team of an industry leading distributor within the plumbing and heating sector. Our business has a strong focus on customer service and as such an ideal candidate will have a confident and polite telephone manner, be able to quickly and effectively respond to issues independently as well as working cohesively as part of a larger overall team to ensure service levels remain exceptionally high.
We are looking for a candidate with previous experience of working on a trade counter selling to installers and end users. Our customer base is entirely made up of plumbers’ merchants and it is important that our team understands the challenges faced by our customers and the environment in which they operate in.
A successful candidate will have a good general knowledge of plumbing & heating products - experience in selling boiler spares parts would certainly be advantageous. We are an IT driven business thus any successful candidate will be IT literate and proficient using MS office. Any skills surrounding Excel/adobe workshop/Marketing (or similar) will also be advantageous.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Answering the telephone in a timely manner
  • Chasing orders with carriers/suppliers
  • Providing customers with price, availability & product details
  • Processing customer orders & addressing queries
  • Participating in sales campaigns from time to time (no cold calling)
  • Develop the skills necessary to navigate parts identification software
  • Work to ensure interdepartmental cooperation remains high
  • Carry out other duties which fall within reasonable expectations of the role
  • To adhere to Health and Safety standards according to the company policy for both customers, colleagues and yourself
  • To work within other areas of Lords Group Trading from time to time when and if necessary
