First Contact Mechanical Ltd. is a respected mechanical contracting company providing plumbing, HVAC, and sheet metal services to residential, commercial, and industrial clients. We pride ourselves on quality workmanship, safety, and professionalism. We’re growing — and we’re looking for a skilled tradesperson who can wear more than one hat.
We’re seeking a qualified tradesperson with experience in both plumbing and HVAC/sheet metal work. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and travel. Out-of-town work is a possible part of the role, with travel, accommodations and per diem provided.

EXPERIENCE

• Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Mechanic or in a similar role within construction or maintenance environments.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and boiler operations is preferred.
• Familiarity with welding techniques and equipment is highly desirable.
• Ability to read schematics and technical documents effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on detail-oriented work.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Journeyperson Plumber certification (or equivalent experience)
• Proven experience in HVAC and/or sheet metal installation and repair
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work sites
• Willingness and ability to travel for out-of-town projects
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and adaptability to changing job requirements

• Fabricate and install sheet metal components for HVAC systems, plumbing, and other mechanical systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine specifications and requirements.
• Perform welding tasks as needed to ensure the integrity of installations.
• Conduct maintenance and repairs on existing sheet metal systems, ensuring optimal performance.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople including electricians to complete projects efficiently.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
